The 3 bar safety valve is a mechanical device which limits pressure inside a heating body containing a fluid expanding to a predetermined value (e.g. 3 bar)

In the first instance it has been designed for use with towel rail ladder and other radiators

The system has two functions…..
As a mechanical safety device, avoiding the risk of high pressure build up inside a heating body (e.g. in the case of the failure of electrical components).

A directable hole releases excess pressure on a slow release basis…….

And as a natural expansion system, following the first working cycles the system is self regulating, compensating the volumetric and pressure variations of the fluid.

Test results

The 3 bar safety valve is able to mechanically stabilise the fluid in the system, in an optimum way.
