Electric Towel Rail 400/800 Flat

When deciding or comparing different electric towel rails it is important to understand that you are purchasing an electric appliance for the bathroom and you should have complete confidence in the safe operation and longevity of your radiator after purchase. Please note that this is a European manufactured towel rail not a Chinese import. Please read the following specification, which applies to all our range of exceptional electric towel rails.

Important! - This towel rail has  16 cross tubes and they are 22mm diameter tubes. Do NOT compare with the lower heat output less visually appealing cheaply manufactured 19mm tubes offered by our most of our competition.

MANUFACTURING:

'Silver Brazed' welding (not the less attractive brass brazed finish found on most towel radiators). Every Towel Rail is pressure tested to 13 bar four times during manufacturing. Every weld joint is individually hand polished before plating. The threads are silver painted to ensure that there is no build up of corrosion around the thread before the rail is installed. 

FILLING:

This electric rails are supplied as factory filled rails with glycerol solution. Many companies use ordinary water and cheap chemicals to fill their rails to save on cost, which often results in noise, freezing and corrosion from within. Key features of glycol solution mix are:

CHROME PLATING is an expensive process therefore most manufacturers keep the plating thickness to a minimum in order to reduce the product cost. With this type of chrome plating, base metal can be seen. Make sure you are buying properly chrome-plated product not something looks like chrome plated. Our products are 40 microns of copper and 15 microns of bright nickel plated prior to chrome plating and have minimum of 60 microns of chrome thickness therefore our products have significantly higher corrosion protection and superior visual appearance then any other products. This is particularly important if you do not want rusty product in your bathroom. HEATING ELEMENT:

The rails have the high specification IP64 rated CE approved 300 watt electrical element fitted to the right hand side. An excellent long life self-regulating energy efficient element which provides a constant stable temperature and quieter operation. Cheaper elements offered by others can be inefficient unstable unreliable and noisy.

Cheaper elements offered by others can be inefficient unstable unreliable and noisy.  The thermostat in the heating element is set to give a maximum surface temperature of 70 deg 0C (EN 60335-2-43) should this be too high, simply install a dimmer switch (this should be located outside the bathroom) to control the temperature of the rail.  For best use, the Electric Rail should be installed with a time switch (this should be located outside the bathroom). This will allow control over when the rail is on or off for economy of use and to provide warm dry towels whenever required. It must be connected via a switched, 5amp fuse box.  The connection must be made by a qualified electrician. During handling the rails may not appear to be full. There is an air gap in each rail to allow for expansion of the fluid as the rail heats up.
